Nothing changes how a property reads faster than fresh mulch and trimmed shrubs. It's a one-day job that makes a yard look deliberately maintained — and unlike most cosmetic work, it genuinely helps the plants, holding moisture through Kansas summers, moderating soil temperature, and keeping weeds from getting established.
Our mulch service starts with the prep most people skip: beds get weeded, old matted mulch is broken up or removed where it has built up too deep, and edges are re-cut so the bed line is crisp and holds its shape. Then we lay mulch at the right depth — around two to three inches, tapered away from trunks and stems rather than piled against them — in shredded hardwood, dark brown, black or natural, or decorative rock if you'd rather stop re-mulching.
Trimming is done with an eye on the plant, not just the silhouette. Shrubs and hedges are shaped to keep light and air moving through them, ornamental grasses are cut back at the right time of year, perennials are deadheaded, and low tree limbs are raised where they crowd a walk or a roofline. We prune in the season each plant tolerates, so nothing gets set back for the sake of a tidy afternoon.
